Working environments of tomorrow: Aeris presents solutions at MCBW 2024

Exhibition and panel discussion at the IDX 81 showroom in Munich

The home office has experienced a boom due to the Covid-19 pandemic, but companies are now focusing on a return to the office. At the IDX 81 showroom at Munich Creative Business Week 2024, Aeris demonstrated how ergonomic office furniture can help shape the future of work. Highlight: an evening event with a panel discussion on New Work and the importance of inspiring working environments.

From the home office back to the office

In the wake of the Covid-19 pandemic, the home office has experienced an enormous boom in recent years and has had a significant impact on the modern working world. However, a new trend is now emerging: many companies are trying to get their employees back into the office - for example, by creating an attractive working environment. One Survey by the ifo Institute of around 9,000 companies shows that at the beginning of this year, just under a quarter of employees in Germany were predominantly working from home. According to ifo expert Jean-Victor Alipour, this proportion has remained almost unchanged for two years.

New Work at Aeris: Organization, culture and infrastructure

For Aeris , New Work means the interplay of organization, culture and infrastructure. Office design with equipment that encourages movement also plays an important role in this. Our ergonomic office furniture enables dynamic, flexible working and influences the working day in such a way that employees are still full of energy after work. With our timeless designs and innovative technologies, we can play an active role in shaping the future of work.

Dynamic working environments in the IDX 81 showroom: the highlights

As part of Munich Creative Business Week 2024, Aeris had the great opportunity to present some of our office furniture in the IDX 81 showroom in the House of Communications, Munich's Werksviertel district, from May 11 to 17. The location concept "IDX - Your Stage" is operated by the three premium brands Gabriel, Artemide and Ege Carpets to create a platform for encounters, creativity and networking. The "Dynamic working environments of tomorrow" exhibition with office furniture from Aeris was explicitly aimed at (interior) architects who want to take modern working environments to a new level by combining dynamic seating and design. A special exhibit was the Swopper with the exclusive "cubic" fabric from Gabriel, which is not available in our range in this form.

Panel discussion: Focus on the future of work

The highlight of this week was definitely the evening event with an exciting panel discussion with our speakers Benjamin Rolff, Natascha Ninic and Martina Rahmfeld. They delved deep into the topic of New Work and discussed the future of work and the development of the role of the office. From the different design options for the office to the importance of corporate values, the discussion offered insightful contributions and innovative ideas that opened up new perspectives.

Conclusion and outlook: What does the future of work hold?

The discussion ended with the realization that New Work is not necessarily the solution for everyone and every individual situation. Rather, it is about defining a clear corporate identity, embodying the corporate values as such and shaping the way we work together accordingly.

For all those who unfortunately missed our exhibition and were unable to attend our event: No need to worry! The topics of the panel discussion will soon be explored in greater depth in a podcast with Benjamin Rolff, an expert in healthy leadership, self-leadership and new leadership. As soon as this will be available on the usual streaming platforms, we will inform you in our newsletter and on Instagram!

Many thanks to all participants for the lively exchange of ideas. You made the event a complete success. Here's to the future of work and its endless possibilities!
